Everyday in the Dallas Real Estate Market is a...new day.  It's true tho.  No two days in real estate are the same when you are a Top Dallas REALTOR®.  Selling more homes means more daily challenges.  What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.  Right?

When I set out to be a Real Estate Agent back in 2014, I had no idea that I would be selling luxury real estate.  I honestly didn't know what kind of homes I would be selling.  I knew that I wanted to work with first-time homebuyers, Dallas relocation, and new construction homes.  Year over year I was at the top of sales in my office.  I started to slowly, but surely win awards for my hard work.  Most recently I won Best Real Estate Agent In Dallas by Three Best Rated, was nominated as one of 2020's Top Ten REALTORS®, and ranked #7 in sales at my office.  While I'm not a #1 Top Producing Real Estate Agent in Dallas, I am becoming one of the Best Real Estate Agents.  

Over the past 2 years my sales have started to pivot to more luxury home sales.  I have listed million dollar homes, and sold million dollar homes.  Some buyers that I am working with have million dollar budgets worthy of being on Million Dollar Listing LA or something.  Million Dollar Listing Dallas would be more fitting.  2020 is shaping up to be the year of luxury real estate.  Rates are at record lows, and sellers of luxury real estate are offering some huge price reductions due to COVID.  Some reductions on million dollar homes are hitting huge.  On average I am seeing more then $100,000 price reductions!

When I first started meeting homeowners for luxury listing appointments, and with million dollar home buyers, I was a little nervous.  I didn't know how to act or what to say.  Also, there were times when I never returned a phone call or would refer the client to someone with more experience because I didn't think I could do it.  I did't believe in myself.  Yes, fear held me back from having a flourishing luxury real estate career early on when I first got started as a REALTOR®.

In a way I'm kind of glad that I didn't get started right away selling luxury real estate.  Not that I couldn't have done it, but over my career I have learned to love myself.  I've learned to be comfortable in my own skin.  I'm a little bit of a maverick.  I don't drive a fancy car, I don't wear suits, and I don't have expensive watches.  Yet, that is the reason that all my clients love me, and I am able to list so many homes.  My clients love that I am myself, and let my work speak for itself.  All my clients no matter what the budget, all have one thing in common.  They just want me to be myself, and do a good job. 

Yes, it's always good to be professional, dress nice, and take care of yourself.  Which I do all those things, but in my own style.  However, none of this has to do with selling a multi-million dollar home.  That is exactly the point.  Being yourself even when dealing with a client wanting to buy a $3M home will make the world of difference.  Selling luxury real estate brings on more stress to what you are doing, but stress isn't bad.  It brings out your strengths.  Ones you didn't know you had.  Yes, the houses are bigger, the budgets are bigger, the marketing is bigger, the offers are bigger, the paperwork is bigger, and the stress is bigger!  But that's what makes selling luxury real estate that much more exciting. 

Being true to who you are will make all the difference.  No matter how big the price of the home.  Don't not sell a luxury home because you are afraid to!  That is just ridiculous.  Believe in yourself!  Give it 100%!  This year I have done all those things.  Now, I look forward to selling more luxury homes for the rest of my real estate career!  Not for the money.  Tho that is a plus, but because of the challenges that come along with it.  I want to push myself more in every aspect of my life.

Now that I have opened my eyes to the possibilities, and started believing in myself, it has made such a huge change in my life.  I am attracting all types of clients wanting to buy or sell a home with me.  Many in the luxury market.  I'm ready for them!  I'm so thankful that I decided to get into the luxury real estate market!
