There is a "gold rush" happening right now if you are Texas homeowner or a Dallas Real Estate Agent! The DFW Metroplex just set a new record with the November report for single family home sales in North Texas! Not only have we hit an all time high for the median home sales price which is over $295,000, but also for the highest price increases in 3 years for the month of November. As well as sales for Real Estate Agents are up 23%! It just keeps getting better, and better!
This news is huge for everyone. Experts say there is no slowing down anytime soon. 2021 looks to be more of the same for price increases, and for the number of home sales with housing inventory being the lowest in over a decade. This doubled with low interest rates will keep the buyer demand up. Supply and demand is still what drives markets after all. Right now the MLS is looking pretty slim for available homes in all price ranges.
Dallas's record breaking real estate market is booming right now thanks in part to April and May's real estate market getting crushed by Shelter In Place lockdowns, and record low interest rates hovering above 2%. This summer we started to see a rebound that took off like a rocket ship! More than 9,400 homes were sold by licensed REALTORS® this past November. Not counting off market deals or For Sale By Owners.
This huge surge adds to the record number of home sales that Dallas was already setting this year. More than 108,000 single family homes have been sold so far across the Dallas Metroplex. That is an increase of 9% since 2019!
