The past year has been a wild one! Even now if you live in Texas then you know that to be true with a historic snow storm upon us! However, Texans will make it out of this stormy weather, and into a real estate market that is still going strong! Not to mention that vaccines are on the way. So life might be back to some sort of new normal when the snow clears. One can hope.

As one of the Top Producing Real Estate Agents at Coldwell Banker Realty, I spend a lot of time focusing on listings. From the time I became a Licensed REALTOR I was taught that listings are where the magic is. The truth of the matter is that there are many reasons to want to be a real estate listing machine. Especially, with the market transitioning into a Seller Market right now across the Dallas Metroplex. Listings are key!
However, that is if home owners want to put their home on the market. Many do not want to take the risk with dealing with showing during this Pandemic that we are in. Some just want to see what happens as the real estate market bubble keeps expanding. Waiting for the right time to put their home on the market to see the best return.
Reports show that last year was a huge year. So, the real estate market trend is heading upward in Dallas with no signs of stopping.
In 2020 home sellers saw a record return by cashing in big with gains averaging over $84,533 in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to a study by Attom Data Solutions. One of the leading suppliers of analytics and reports for the real estate market across the country.
These huge gains are almost double from 2019 with an 8% boost. While nationwide, home sellers had a gain of $68,843. Furthermore, the Dallas Metroplex median home prices increased by 9% in 2020 to an all-time high of $285,000. Which means that North Texas prices have risen by more than 40% in the last five years.
No matter how you look at it these numbers are huge! This is why I decided to give up everything to become a REALTOR years ago. I knew the demand in Texas for housing was strong, and with some blood, sweat, and tears I could make it!
2021 looks to be a big one is the prior year was able to do all this during the Global Pandemic. Yes, there might be snow on the ground with life seemingly to pause. But life will go on! So, will this insane sellers' market! Call me for all your buying, and selling needs!
